Retro: Chrono Trigger
Spent some time on the SNES emulator on the G5 media center tonight with Chrono Trigger.
A truly wonderful RPG/Fantasy from the mid-nineties like only the early SquareSoft guys seemed to do, with the right combination of action, zany plot, and whimsical interludes (like a heroic frog! [who speaks in Shakespearean English]) that made a few hours pass by unnoticed. The last emulator game I enjoyed this much was probably Secret of Mana.
Each major era of video game consoles — at least those I remember from my younger years — produced a few really unique titles which are nothing short of works of art.
