Erlang

Joe Armstrong has a book about Erlang. (That’s a link to an article about the book, not the book itself…)

I would love to build a project in Erlang sometime. As Objective-C opened my mind to the power of a dynamic object model, and Python opened my mind to the pleasures of working in a garbage-collected, exception-safe environment, and Python’s map, reduce, zip, and filter functions taught me how programming in a functional style can reduce the conditional complexity of a block of code — well, I think the next big great thing for me to learn might be a way to deal with concurrency that is coherent.
