Remember that bit about Dashboard widgets and Apple’s VerfiedDownloadAgent Safari plugin?

With various remarks about the iPhone being a “closed platform”, I wonder if this mysterious and soon-forgotten bit of software will have a role to play in getting software onto perhaps the most anticipated gadget in the last ten years.
