Google Earth using Qt?

So is this a leak, or a public beta? Too early to call, but it’s interesting that a few days after I complained about MacUpdate having a download link for my unreleased software, MacUpdate has also got Google Earth before their official release. I’m thinking these guys are going to get sued.

What’s more interesting is that the application looks like it’s using Trolltech’s Qt framework. Not that it says anything about Google, but I think Qt/Mac is awful. Other Mac news sites are complaining about the 40MB download size; well, over half of that is Qt/Mac:

So, seeing this subpar technology (polite term) in a Google product is somewhat surprising.
